Exciting new interiors brand The Monkey Puzzle Tree collaborates with established artists and aims to push aesthetic boundaries to bring a lasting sense of individuality and beauty to both residential and commercial interiors. Following a successful launch at Decorex which gained them extensive press coverage, The Monkey Puzzle Tree are looking forward to introducing more unique designs and artists to their collection over the coming year.

Charlotte Raffo founded The Monkey Puzzle Tree in 2017 after she realised that many incredibly talented artists did not have an outlet for their work. Each artist the company works with has their own very distinctive style. Artist Joel Weaver creates tiny precise pencil miniature drawings, and has previously worked with Damien Hirst and Ryan Gander. Printmaker Alexis Snell is well known for her stunning use of dark gothic imagery. Sarah Thornton uses vibrant watercolours to express her passion for life, and Sarah Jane Palmer creates unique and sometimes naughty designs with hidden secrets that may only be appreciated on a closer look!

The Monkey Puzzle Tree ensures that each artist retains their own identity and creative freedom, and by paying a generous royalty the company supports their artists to continue with their original work.

As well as challenging the ordinary through design, it’s important to The Monkey Puzzle Tree that all products are made to the highest standards by well-established British manufacturers. All designs are kept in stock to ensure delivery can be made to meet the tightest of deadlines. Full technical specifications are also available for each product, many of which can pass standards such as the Crib 5 fire retardant test and are suitable for commercial interiors and upholstery.

The name of the company comes from founder Charlotte’s fascination with the intriguing Monkey Puzzle tree that can live to over 1000 years old and has been around since dinosaurs roamed the earth. When Charlotte was born, her parents planted one in their garden, which grew with her, eventually producing small, baby trees at the same time that she had her two children.

By gaining inspiration from the art and artists themselves, without following trends, The Monkey Puzzle Tree creates designs that are timeless and suit both contemporary and period interiors whilst avoiding the traditional and mundane. In this way they hope to contribute to an unforgettable interior that will last a lifetime.
